Mr. Powers or Coach Powers or just Powers or KP, to the super familiar, once said, "As Hawks, CMS is where Dragons get their wings." A Hawk for Life, Mr. Powers spent the years of 1996 - 1998 as a student at CMS. He graduated from CHS in 2002 and spent his college years studying English, secondary education, and delivering pizzas. Since joining the CMS Hawks faculty in 2009, Mr. Powers has taught ELA and Writing in all three grade levels, mostly 8th grade. He coached CMS Golf for six seasons before joining the CMS Baseball staff in 2022. His loves include his wife, Amanda, also an educator; his son, Kit, a student at Clinton Elementary; travel, food, movies, books, and sports.
